Power Move Management signs on to represent Stellar Award Winner, DeWayne Woods.
Baton Rouge, LA: Power Move Management (PMM) is pleased to announce a professional partnership with their newest client, powerhouse vocalist DeWayne Woods.
Urban inspirational vocalist DeWayne Woods burst on to the music scene in a big way in 2006 with the Life Lessons CoverTop 5 radio smash “Let Go,” that was written and produced by PJ Morton. The song’s success garnered Woods four Stellar Awards and propelled him into the spotlight for more reasons other than simply being super producer’s Donald Lawrence’s protégé.
“Life Lessons,” is DeWayne Woods’ first CD in four years and was released independently through Soul Therapy/Central South Distribution. Much of this thought-provoking album revolves around the notions of comfort and hope. The album contains remarkable collaborations with music legends such as Larry Waddell & Stokley Williams of the R&B band Mint Condition, Avery Sunshine, PJ Morton, and a passionate remake of Grammy® Award winner Donald Lawrence’s 2002 song, “Can I Lay In Your Arms?
The current Top 20 radio single “Friend of Mine,” featuring Grammy® Award winner Anthony Hamilton and Dave Hollister, is a fusion of `70s psychedelic rock guitar, New Orleans funk and gospel electricity. It’s an undeniable feel-good song. Woods is also a celebrated actor and has appeared in numerous stage plays and musicals. Most recently in the Fall of 2014, he appeared in Richard Gallion’s “Desperate 2.”
